About
I have been working in criminal defense and prosecution for over 20 years. I started as a public defender and then was a deputy district attorney in Northern California for almost 4 years. For the last 16 years, I have worked as a private defense counsel in Southern California.
I have been working for the Meehan Law Firm for over 4 years now, and handle most matters in the Murrieta, Banning and Riverside courthouses. I have two grown children that have completed college. I have been happily married to my wife, Julie, for over 25 years now. We like to travel and enjoy date nights and watching movies. I have helped many people over the years and occasionally get calls from former clients, who might need more help or have a friend or family member who is in need of some help.
I try to provide hope and some peace to potential new clients, especially if the person has never been in trouble with the law before.
Treating everyone like a family member and still being able to convey the truth about their situation is my goal.
If you need help with a situation where you or a loved one was charged with a crime, and you need a good knowledgeable, attorney who responds quickly to your inquiries and had a history of obtaining great results, please give me a call.

What’s My Process
A clear, step-by-step approach to handling your case with confidence.
Consultation
I like to go to court and obtain the discovery and police reports for every case. I then review any and all documentation and audio/video recordings, if necessary, to then begin to see if there are any defenses to any of the charges.
Case Review
I will then talk to the da, with whom I have a long-standing relationship with, as I frequently go to the same court houses multiple times per week.
Strategy
I then try and negotiate a possible resolution for the case.
Resolution
I will keep the client informed and go over all aspects of the case, letting the client choose what options fits best for him/her.
