About

I practice law to protect good people when they need it most. An arrest can happen in a single moment — a lapse in judgment, a misunderstanding, or simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But the consequences can threaten your career, your reputation, and your future.

At The Meehan Law Firm, we step in immediately and strategically. With decades of combined experience and established credibility within the court system, we know how cases are evaluated, how prosecutors think, and where opportunities exist to challenge the evidence. We prepare every case as if it matters — because it does.

Our mission is clear: build the strongest possible defense, negotiate from a position of strength, and secure the best achievable outcome. Whether that means dismissal, reduction, or minimizing consequences, we pursue solutions that allow our clients to move forward with confidence.

I am proud to be part of The Meehan Law Firm and the 1-800-NoCuffs legal team. Every day, we stand beside individuals and families during some of the most stressful moments of their lives — and we deliver results that make a real difference.

When your future is on the line, experience, preparation, and strategy matter.

What’s My Process

A clear, step-by-step approach to handling your case with confidence.

01

Consultation

I introduce myself and our firm, our core values, and explain our team approach so you understand exactly who fighting for you and what you can expect from us.

02

Case Review

I want to fully understand your story, your concerns, and your goals — I believe every effective legal strategy begins with truly hearing the client, understanding and creating a unique approach to the particular circumstances of the case.

03

Strategy

I ask a lot of questions that permit me to carefully gather and analyze all of the details of what happened, including the precipitating events before the arrest and the circumstances of the arrest this way I can identify strengths, vulnerabilities, and opportunities in your case.

04

Resolution

I explain the legal process in clear, understandable terms, outline our strategy in detail, and make sure you leave informed, empowered, and confident — with every question answered.

Top Questions Clients Ask Me

Providing legal representation across the following California counties.

My BAC was .09. I’m guilty… what can I do?

09 reading does not automatically end the case. Breath and blood results can be challenged, procedures must be followed correctly, and there may be legal or factual defenses available. Even when the evidence is strong, there are often ways to reduce penalties and protect your future. The key is acting quickly.

Is there any way to keep my license?

Possibly — but timing is critical. You have only 10 days from arrest to request a DMV hearing. In many cases, we can fight the suspension or obtain a restricted license that allows you to drive to work and necessary obligations.

Will having a lawyer really help?

DUI cases involve both court proceedings and DMV consequences. An experienced attorney knows how to challenge evidence, negotiate strategically, and protect your driving privileges. Representation can significantly impact the outcome — from reduced charges to minimized penalties.

Will this affect my job?

It depends on your profession and whether driving is required for your work. Some employers never find out; others may be impacted, especially if you hold a professional license or commercial driver’s license. Early legal strategy can help minimize employment consequences.

Can I get this off my record?

In most cases, after successful completion of probation, a DUI can be expunged. While it does not erase the arrest entirely, it can significantly improve employment prospects and allow you to legally state that you have not been convicted in most job applications.
